Inaugural Issue of the Journal of Faith and Scholarship Now Published
We are pleased to announce the publication of the inaugural issue of the Sharon Institute Journal of Faith and Scholarship. This first issue brings together a series of thoughtful essays exploring how the light of the Restored Gospel can deepen and clarify academic inquiry, particularly in psychology, human sexuality, moral agency, therapy, and Latter-day Saint approaches to scholarship.
The issue opens with a major article on embodied moral agency and human sexuality, followed by several responses that engage questions of sexual identity, agency, embodiment, and the limits of contemporary “born that way” assumptions. Additional articles explore compulsive pornography use through the lens of virtue ethics, offer a Latter-day Saint Christian alternative to the limits of the therapeutic worldview, and examine the need for psychologists and scholars to carefully “unmingle” the philosophies of men from revealed truth.
We invite readers to visit the Journal page to download and read the full issue or individual articles.
